If you’re a business that does between $1.5 – 10 million annually and haven’t had the brain space or time to think about how your website can improve, I might be a good fit for you.
Let’s face it. Your website should act like an employee. It has the potential to be your best salesman, a receptionist, and even an internal help desk and customer service representative.
It’s not enough to have someone that just knows the technical side of websites.
You want someone that knows how SEO works, who can make sure your site is fast-loading, that it works well on mobile devices, and isn’t prone to hacking.
You also want someone that knows about sales and marketing, who can craft simple and clear messages to turn browsers into buyers and lifelong customers.
And, someone who can put all the pieces together – who can do everything from getting you seen on search engines, capture quality website leads, manage your email list and craft excellent content via blog posts and emails to keep people coming back to your brand and become loyal customers.
I can help you turn your website into one of your most effective employees yet, and for a fraction of the price it would cost to hire all the necessary people to fill those various positions. No, I’m not cheap, but I’m also not messing around. If you don’t see results within 3 months, I’ll recommend that we part ways. I’m not here to waste your time or money.
Why should you trust me?
I’ve built and sold a web design and marketing business, where I’ve built nearly a hundred websites on my own. As the CEO of a local healthcare company, I not only built our website, but managed all of our marketing, sales, and content creation services, helping to build that business to over $2m in annual revenue.
And honestly – I care. I really care about helping people do what they love doing. You’ll love working with me if you love doing your business, but don’t love the management of the website or dealing with online marketing sales funnels.
Why should you hire me?
I take on no more than 3 clients. The only people that work with me are contractors that I use if I’m sick or want to take a vacation and can’t be available to my clients.
I’m not cheap. If you’re thinking about your website as an employee, then an investment in this employee will be worth it.
I’ll make sure your website is attracting the right leads, getting found on the internet, operating quickly, and isn’t vulnerable to malicious software attacks.
What does it look like to work with me?
Buckle up. This is what you can expect in your first couple of months of working with me. Some steps will go fast, others will take weeks.
First, I’ll have a look at your current setup. Maybe you have a good foundation, maybe not. I’ll be honest about your setup and will recommend what the first step will be. It might be building a new website. It might not. How can we tell? First, we want to make sure your website is working. I don’t care if it’s pretty – I want it to be fast-loading, without too much bloat, and easy to update as a developer and to navigate as a consumer.
We’ll then talk about what job you’re expecting your website to accomplish. Ideally, it would have only one main goal (usually selling, or directing people to the next step of your sales funnel). We’ll define that together.
If we don’t have to build a new website, then I’ll look at the content of your website. We’ll make sure that you’re saying the right things that are in line with your goal. Most of this is removing a lot of stuff – most websites have too much information. You’re confusing people – we want it to be simple, strong, and clear.
Then, we’ll look at your search engine optimization. This is making sure that your website is setup to talk with search engines (mostly Google) properly so people can find you when they’re looking for what you have to offer. This also includes setting up proper analytics. You can’t improve what you don’t measure, and I intend on helping you measure what’s working and what’s not.
Only after that’s all done will we look at a sales funnel strategy. We’ll make sure that you have a way to capture leads from people visiting your website (maybe we need to setup an email list, or we’ll use what you already have). If you’re not capturing those leads, we’ll start. If you are capturing those leads, we’ll see how effective that has been.
Then, we’ll have a look at any other marketing your doing and see how your website fits with those strategies. Everything from social media, print, or other traditional advertising – we’ll make sure that your website is being used correctly.
Almost done… I’ll then help craft or refine any marketing messages you may be using – just to make sure that you’re being clear. If we need to setup some A/B testing (seeing if one message works better than another), then I can help set those up.
After all of that… we start measuring, refining, and maintaining your website.
Some maintenance will be boring ‘backend’ stuff – just making sure your website stays updated (much like your computer) so it’s not vulnerable to hackers or malware.
Some maintenance will be adjusting your marketing messages, or continuing to publish or update content to make sure you’re improving your SEO and staying relevant to customers.
In all – you’ll be confident that your website is doing what it should – being an effective employee that helps accomplish your goals in business.
What does this cost?
My base rate is $5,000 per month, and could increase to $10k monthly depending on your needs and the number of hours I’ll be investing.
I’ll always be transparent about my costs and you’ll never be surprised.
I typically ask for a 3 month commitment.
If you’re not sure if you’d like to commit, I’ll do an analysis of what you have right now for $250. That will include a general overview of what I see you might be able to improve on your website, what I would do for next steps, and what it will cost to retain my services. If anything, you’ll walk away with a general plan of what to do next with your website.
