Jason Larsen

Hi… I’m Jason

I’m figuring out what I want to be when I grow up.

This is a living document / website / page…

January 20th, 2026 is the last time this page was edited / updated / skimmed over.

Direct Primary Care

I left my role as Co-owner and CEO of Assurance Healthcare & Counseling Center in Yakima, WA – a Direct Primary Care clinic – in April of 2025 after 12 years of starting, growing, and maintaining it as a business.

Assurance Healthcare opened its doors in January 2014, making it one of the first 250 or so DPC clinics around the nation. It was the fastest growing DPC clinic in the state of Washington several years in a row – our only hindrance being the hiring of new physicians.

I’m hoping to pass on my knowledge and experience to help other physicians start, grow and maintain their own DPC practices by building a site and suite of applications specifically for DPC practices.

Interested in starting your own DPC or know someone who is? Contact me and I’ll respond right away!

Marketing & Web Maintenance

If you have a product or service that could make someone’s life better, then they deserve to hear about it.

I love thinking through the strategy of connecting people to a product or service. Everything from branding, messaging, and marketing your product on your website and in marketing materials.

My focus is building websites that won’t break, are found by search engines and LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, etc.), and do their job well. They might not be the sexiest websites, but I promise they’ll get you found online and get your more business.

I currently have room for one exclusive web and marketing client. For more information on hiring me, click here.

Music

In my high school and college undergraduate life, I spent a LOT of time playing and studying music.

My teenage boys are getting really good at their instruments, and it’s fun playing with them. We’re hoping to perform in our hometown sometime soon.

I don’t have anything to share with you yet, will reluctantly put something online for the few who might be interested to hear.

If you want to know my style and what I’m into currently, check out anything by Couch, Lux Arumque by Eric Whitacre, anything by John Mayer, and nearly anything by Cannonball Adderley. That’s a start, for now 😉

My Strengths & Experience

As a previous employer myself, I don’t find resumes interesting or helpful. I’d rather you get to know more about my strengths and who I am as a person.

The majority of my work and specialty is in starting businesses and understanding the direct care space (health clinics that bill patients directly rather than via insurance companies).

As an entrepreneur that has bootstrapped several companies, I excel in operations, strategy, data analytics and marketing. I can do sales, but get burned out quickly. I’m not a maintainer, I’m more of a builder.

Portfolio

I hope to build out this portfolio someday, I just haven’t taken the time.

If you really want to know the work that I’ve done, you can look through the website at assurancehealth.org – the main design and basic content was mostly done by yours truly (yes, even in January of 2026 after I departed in 2025).

I have a lot of websites that are probably out of date, but here’s a few you can check out if you’re curious of my style and abilities…

About Me: An Honest Look

My about page is not a simple overview, but more of a deep dive into who I am as a friend, co-worker, and maybe a parent.

I’d like to think that there’s more humor and joy than what’s written on the page, but maybe I am more of the serious type.

If anything, I listen MUCH more than I talk, so writing and talking about myself is exercising a muscle I don’t use often.

If you’re reading this, I truly hope we get the chance to meet. I really enjoy getting to know and working with people.
